Genzo Shimadzu Best Poster Awards

The organisers and Shimadzu proudly announce the “Genzo Shimadzu Best Poster Awards”, which will be awarded to the best 8 presented at the ISC 2016 during the closing ceremony on Thursday, September 1st, 2016. Each Best Poster will receive a €500 grant.

An international board of senior peers participating in the Symposium and headed by Gerard Rozing will access the posters by the following criteria:

  • Novelty and originality of the work, creativity and potential for innovation
  • Scope of work, technical quality of experimental design and execution of experiments
  • Readability of the presentation and author’s explanations (during the poster session!)

On Wednesday afternoon the poster reviewers board will publish a list of 12-15 nominees for final round evaluation.

This final evaluation will take place in a plenary session on Thursday, September 1 from 8:30 – 10:00 hrs.,  during which the nominated authors will give a 3-4 minute presentation of her/his work in max. 3 to 4 slides.

Therefore, participants in the Genzo Shimadzu Best Poster Awards competition should make themselves available for this oral session on September 1 in order to deliver a flash-presentation of their work when nominated. The poster reviewers board will select 8 posters for the award.

The awardees will receive a certificate and the cash prize. All other nominees will receive a certificate too to acknowledge their achievement.
