Getting to and from Cork Airport:

Cork Airport is served by scheduled bus and coach services that link the airport with Cork city – and from there to destinations all over Ireland from the city’s main bus and train stations.

Bus and coaches leave from in front of the terminal building. The normal journey time between Cork Airport and Parnell Place Bus Station is 20 minutes.cork bus station

To Cork City: From Cork Airport, you can take the 226 to Parnell Place Bus Station, the main bus station for Cork city.

To the Venue, University College Cork (UCC): Bus connections to/from the airport are provided by Bus Eireann (route No 226 to Cork Bus Station). A taxi journey to UCC will take 10–20 minutes and will cost about €12–18.

To Cork Airport: The 226 bus departs from Parnell Place Bus Station to Cork Airport and then on to the nearby village of Kinsale.

Bus Éireann provides a frequent direct coach service between Cork Airport and Cork City Centre and Cork Bus Station.

Taxi: The Taxi fare from Cork Airport to the City Centre is around €14. There is a taxi rank outside the main terminal building.

By Car: Cork Airport is just 8 kilometres from Cork City Centre on the south end of the N27 when coming from the North, West, or East of Cork and off the R600 when coming from Kinsale.

Getting Around Cork

Cork City is one of Ireland’s most easily navigable cities. There is an extensive network of road, rail and designated bus corridors.

Taxi: There are a number of official Taxi companies located in Cork city. However Cork City is well served by this service and one is never too far away. You can contact a Cork taxi service here.

Bus: Bus Éireann is Ireland’s national Bus service. Bus Éireann buses run an extensive and comprehensive service throughout the City. The city’s bus station is centrally located on Parnell Place with services running to almost every town and village in the county seven-days-a-week. Here you can also catch a bus to other cities.

Bicycles and Cycle Routes: Cork is a beautiful City, and often times best seen and navigated by Bike. Littered with some great cycle routes and bike lanes it really is one of the best ways to get around. Throughout the city and suburbs there are pathways for cyclists such as Blarney walk, Fota wildlife walk, Monkstown walk, Rochestown Walk and the Lee Fields walk.

Coca-Cola Zero® Bikes are also an exciting addition to Cork City. Bike stations are located throughout the cities to provide a healthy and convenient means of transport. You can rent a Coca-Cola Zero bike for very cheap and and they are a popular way of getting around Cork.
